Peaine Township maintains a picnic area and ice-skating rink west of the building on this property for the public, as well as a wooden boardwalk which allows people to look out onto Font Lake.
 
Peaine Township manages and maintains the Bill Wagner Memorial Campground. Accessed via the East Side Drive, the campground is on the shore of Lake Michigan with a view of the west coast of mainland Michigan There are twenty-two campsites in the Bill Wagner Memorial Campground.
